My Data Journey
Imagine a world where every business decision, big or small, is backed by solid data. A world where intuition is complemented by insights, where every strategic move is informed by evidence. This isn't just an ideal; it's a reality that I've been part of creating.
Entering the world of data and analytics in 2012
I was in a job that felt repetitive and unchallenging, yet I realized something crucial: my passion for making processes efficient and my love for turning complex data into clear, visual stories for business leaders. This was more than a career pivot; it was a leap into a new realm of possibilities.
I had no degree or background in tech, yet I was determined to break into business intelligence. I taught myself through online resources, learning tools like Power Query, PowerPivot, and Tableau. I took on a project with ZoomData, providing insights to their senior leaders, and this experience was a turning point, opening doors to formal education in business analytics.
I finally got my break
By 2017, my role in KPMG's management reporting team opened a new horizon. An opportunity emerged to join a new practice called enterprise analytics. Dedicated to supporting the development of an enterprise data warehouse and building analytics for KPMG employees, this transition was more than a career move; it was a gateway into the heart of data-driven decision-making. Here, I wasn't just a participant; I was a key architect in shaping how the firm leveraged data for strategic insights and decisions.
The evidence of my journey's impact is clear: I've built BI solutions for C-suite executives, helped teams become data fluent, and mentored future data leaders. My work is about turning raw data into strategic assets.
Looking ahead, my goal is to continue to be a leader in the field of data and analytics.
I aim to leverage the latest technologies, like Generative AI, to keep organizations at the forefront of the digital age. My vision is to combine my business acumen with technical expertise to build high-performing data teams and guide entire companies on their journey to data fluency and technological innovation.
Now, think about the impact this approach can have in your organization. Data isn't just numbers; it's the language of modern business. By embracing it, you're not just making better decisions; you're crafting a future that's more informed, more efficient, and more successful. This isn't just my story; it could be yours too.
